Privacy policy

Short version: this is a static informational site. We collect as little as we can.

What we do not collect

We do not ask you to create an account, and there is no login.
We do not ask for your email address, your name, or your Lagos Life credentials.
We never ask for your Lagos Life password, and we never will. Do not enter it anywhere except lagoslife.app.

Cookies and analytics

Three analytics tools are used, and only to see which pages are actually read. None is used to build an advertising profile of you, and the data is not sold.

Rybbit (cookieless, self-hosted) counts page views, referrers, country, device type and similar aggregate signals. It sets no cookies and keeps no personal profile: unique visitors are counted with an anonymous ID derived from a hash of your IP address and browser user-agent, and you are not tracked across other websites.
Ahrefs Web Analytics (Ahrefs) reports aggregate traffic trends — page views and referrers. It is also cookieless and, per Ahrefs' own description, does not collect personal data or store personally identifiable information.
Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) reports aggregate usage — pages, sessions, traffic sources and approximate location. Unlike the other two it does set cookies (for example _ga and _ga_<container>, kept for up to two years) and Google may combine that data with information it already holds, as described in Google's privacy policy. You can refuse or delete these cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out browser add-on.

Google Analytics is the only one of the three that sets any cookie at all. There is no advertising or tracking cookie beyond the ones described above.

Advertising

This site may display advertising to cover hosting costs. If advertising is enabled, third-party ad vendors may set cookies or use device identifiers as described in their own privacy policies. Where required by law, we will ask for consent before setting those advertising cookies. You can control advertising cookies through your browser settings.

Outbound links

We link to the official game and to other third-party sites. Once you follow a link, that site's privacy policy applies, not ours. We have no control over what third parties do with your data.

Children

The Lagos Life game is intended for players aged 18 and over, and this site is written for that audience. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your rights

Because we do not collect personal data that identifies you, there is generally nothing for us to export or delete. If you believe we hold information about you and want it removed, contact us and we will act promptly.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update this page and the date below.
